Christmas Fern 3 For $13.99 Description

Christmas Fern, Polystichum Acrostichoides, is an Evergreen

Christmas Ferns

We have lush and vibrant Christmas Ferns for sale. This simple but stunning fern is ideally suited for shady areas and requires low maintenance when established. They make for wonderful indoor plants due to their low to no sunlight needs. Keep their soil moist during dry periods and ensure the ground they are planted in contains plenty of organic matter, which will help with water retention. Our Christmas Ferns will grow with little work since they are naturally hardy plants. These ferns provide excellent ground coverage and can make for beautiful, sprawling greenery beneath large trees with heavy foliage that tends to restrict plants with higher sunlight requirements. Indoors, they liven up dull, dreary spaces with their bright green color and leggy fronds.

Christmas Fern, Polystichum Acrostichoides Require Well Draining, Nutrient Rich Soil that is Purely Organic

Anyone living in zones 3-8 can buy Christmas Ferns and expect them to grow well. Their frondescence is fully textured, with mature plants expanding enough to cover about 2-3 feet of space. These perennial ferns stay green year-round, so expect your garden to retain its vitality even after those colorful annuals take their leave. During the coldest months, your Christmas Ferns will move to duck down against the turf, making them appear smaller yet no less lovely.

Christmas Fern, Polystichum Acrostichoides is For Sale at TN Wholesale Nursery with Low Prices and Fast Shipping

Like many ferns, Christmas Ferns propagate through spores on their leaves' undersides. These spores start around June and will usually stop producing after October. The spores begin as tiny black dots and mature to a reddish-orange if fertile. In the spring, young Christmas Ferns emerge as silvery stems with thin stalks and leaves. Though these plants grow modestly, they do slow as they reach a mature age after about a year, but Christmas ferns usually live a very long time (over ten years if well-taken care of).

    Good value - healthy plants

The Christmas Ferns came packaged and labeled. I acclimated them wrapping in damp dish towel. Planted some in the ground, gave two to neighbor and put one in a pot on the porch. All are growing at about the same rate. I knew they were very fresh and healthy when they arrived with bonus live earthworm!
