Wisteria Tree

Wisteria Tree
Wisteria
Wisteria Sinensis is a deciduous vine that can climb as high as ten to twenty feet with ample support. This plant is a native Asian species, well-adjusted to life in the United States. It will flourish in either full or partial sunshine in USDA plant hardiness zones 5 to 9.
Wisteria blossoms are full, large, and highly fragrant. The flowers range in color from deep mauve to blue-lavender to purple. The plant blooms prolifically in the final weeks of spring or the first few days of summer.
The Wisteria Is a Reliably Healthy Tree
They are fast growers. However, seeing your first flowers takes a season. Wholesale Nursery staffers can assure you they are worth every second of the wait. Once it gets going, it blooms reliably year after year with very little encouragement.
This vine plant is highly durable; it is drought-tolerant, disease-resistant; pest-resistant; and cold-tolerant. They have a habit of forming dense thickets, which is ideal for training on a fence for privacy or blocking an unsightly view.
The Wisteria Is a Beautiful Climbing Tree
The wide-reaching wisteria vine grows from a single stem. As it grows, it creates whimsical twisted shapes. If you want a more formal look, you can straighten and train it into a more symmetrical appearance.
The plant's leaves are green and elliptical, growing in attractive clusters of up to fifteen leaflets that form an alternating pattern. Leaves measure up to 6" long.
But make no mistake. It is the flower that will steal your heart. The large, droopy, clustered flowers include dozens of petite, pea-shaped that appear as a single large bloom. The appearance of each cluster of wisteria flowers might remind you of tiny bunches of grapes.
