Great White Trillium

Trillium Grandiflorum is a large flowering perennial. It is perfect for new or experienced gardeners due to its easy-going nature and beautiful white flowers. This flower performs well in full or partial shade throughout USDA plant hardiness zones 4 to 8.

Great White Trillium flowers are so easy to grow and maintain. They love a place of honor in a shady spot in dense compost or thick mulch--lots of natural woodsy nutrients. With these conditions, the plant will grow, and its lovely white flower will bloom soon.

This plant is an excellent border species for your shade garden or any spot too heavily shaded to grow grass. Wholesale Nursery often recommends this plant in multiples to fill in steep embankments that are too dangerous for growing and mowing grass.

The Grand Looks of the Great White Trillium

Trillium flowers get their names because of their flower formation--each has three petals. The great white trillium flower petals slightly overlap at their bases. The flower is grand, about four inches wide. It blooms in the middle of spring in most planting zones.

The stem is smooth and green, sometimes with burgundy tinges. The leaves are ovate and have a prominent tip; they usually form thick, lush whorls that create a deep green canvas for the beautiful white flower.
