White Dogwood Tree
Cornus Florida is a favorite deciduous flowering tree or shrub among gardeners and landscapers for its large, showy, four-petalled, snowy white blossoms that bloom in the late spring. They will thrive in the full sun to filtered sun but require at least six hours of light. The preferred USDA plant hardiness zones are 5 through 9.
When customers call Wholesale Nursery and ask what tree makes an excellent gift, this is a frequent recommendation we offer. This tree is a best-seller for one compelling reason--it is super easy to grow and requires very little maintenance.
It has low care requirements, is resistant to diseases, pests, heat, and drought, and offers tremendous looks. It can transform any dull garden into an oasis.
Plant these trees along a driveway, flanking an entryway, or in the middle of your front yard. They are sure to turn the heads of everyone who sees them!
The Beauty and Charm of the White Dogwood Tree
The white dogwood tree is a beautiful ornamental that can serve you well as a specimen to highlight your beautiful yard, in a filtered light section of a shade garden, or as an understory tree.
Another name for this tree is the White Princess Dogwood Tree or Cherokee Princess Dogwood Tree. Their trademark feature might be their showy flowers, but the tree is also gorgeous when not blooming.
It reaches a mature height of around 20,' and multiple branches emerge from a central trunk, creating a lovely silhouette. The crown has a nice oval shape.
They produce small berries unpalatable to humans; however, they are a treat for local wildlife and songbirds.
