Red Daylily
Hemerocallis Hybrida is a hybridized flower native to Asia but widely used in American gardens. These plants are beloved for their vibrant, colorful red blooms. This species loves a mix of sun and shade but will adjust to full sunlight. It grows beautifully in USDA plant growing zones 3 through 9.
Red Daylily is a gardening favorite not only for its lovely color but also because it can thrive in various soils and climates. Daylilies require minimal maintenance and are hardy. They are also incredibly resilient and can withstand drought, heat, and cold weather.
Red Magic Daylilies are easy to propagate and provide tremendous cost value, as you can later dig and separate them to add additional color to the landscape. They are a great addition to any garden, adding texture, color, and interest throughout the growing season.
Red Daylily Brings Bright Blooms and Beautiful Pollinators to the Yard
Red Daylily flowers are trumpet-shaped and can come in various colors. The cultivar we sell at Wholesale Nursery is a brilliant shade of red. The flower heads are usually quite large, with petals measuring up to four inches.
The flowers have a sweet, honey-like, and pleasant fragrance. This scent attracts several pollinator insects, including bees and butterflies. Bees are particularly attracted to the bright colors and fragrances of hemerocallis hybrida, while butterflies and moths love the nectar-rich flowers. The long blooming period of hemerocallis hybrida makes it an excellent food source for many pollinator insects.
