Kousa Dogwood Seedlings is a lovely and sturdy flowering tree that is sure to show off all year long.

The best climate zones to plant this tree is in climate zones 5-10. At maturity, it can be expected to be anywhere from 15 to 30 feet tall and spread out to be 20 to 25 feet on average. This tree is said to have a slow to medium growth rate only growing about a foot or two each year. This tree will grow best in either full or partial sunlight environments. It prefers soils that are well drained and acidic in their composition. During the spring, it will produce white flowers that are followed by red berries.

Kousa Dogwood Seedlings are beautiful trees when they are in bloom during the spring.

In the summer this tree will be great for both its shade and beauty. Its layered branches will make a canopy which will provide excellent shade. In the fall months, the foliage will turn a beautiful bright red color. Even in winter, this tree has something to show off. During the winter months, it will show off its bark that will resemble a jigsaw puzzle. Although this trees most popular selling point is its spring foliage, the white blooms are not petals. They are leaves that have been modified and are called bracts. The bracts surround small green and yellow flowers. The flowers it neighbors, however, are insignificant. This would be an excellent tree to plant near utility lines, buildings or walls; When planting though it will need to be covered with mulch to protect it from lawn or weed clippings which in turn will cause poor health.
