Nanny Berry Fascines 25 For $99.99 Description

Nanny Berry Fascines, Viburnum Lentago is a Flowering Shrub

Nanny Berry Fascines are botanically known as Viburnum lentago and members of the Adoxaceae family. This shrub may be called Nanny Berry Fascines viburnum, Sheep berry, and Sweet viburnum. Nannyberry is a flowering shrub that can grow to a small tree of 10 to 15 feet or a large shrub of over 8 feet. The width of the bush can be 10 to 20 feet wide and is delicious. It is a shrub native to certain parts of the United States and seasonally loses its leaves.

This shrub grows well in zones 3 through 8. It has dark brownish-black bark and leaves with long oval shapes growing on opposite sides of the stem. The leaves are slightly toothed with wavy edges and glossy green with a lighter underside. The leaves change to a reddish-purple in the fall. The shrub gets small flowers, about 4 1/4 inches, with flat-topped domed clusters of creamy white. The shrub reaches a berry-type fruit that begins yellow, turning to red, and will be a blue or black color when mature. Nanny berry is an excellent plant for adding color to your lawn. This shrub will also add value to your home. It is also helpful as a background plant. You will love the color it will add to your yard.

Nanny Berry Fascines, Viburnum Lentago is Self-Pollinating with Edible Fruit and can be used as a Border for Landscaping.

These shrubs are smaller, and their flowers are more modest than the snowball. The bush is self-pollinating, and the fruit is edible raw or processed into a jelly or jam and said to have some health benefits. This shrub likes the sun to shade areas, but the shrub will grow larger in openly sunny regions. The bush likes sand, loam, or clay soil with a pH level of 6-7:5 and loves well-drained soil that is moist to dry. They are shrubs that can be used as a border or landscaping centerpiece. The size should be considered before planting.
