No matter what you decide to call it, this beautiful herbaceous perennial is native to Eastern North America and is a favorite of gardeners. Out in nature, this plant is observed to be in high lands with fertile soil. It is especially thriving in the Appalachian Mountains. It's effortless to identify due to the three petals that create the flower. You can expect these flowers to pop open between spring and early summer. This plant's entire life cycle is entirely dependent on the deciduous woodland it lives in. Be mindful of planting these gorgeous blooms under trees or in the shady parts of rocks, as they don't like total sun exposure.
