Sourwood Tree Seedlings are also referred to as the Sorrel Tree. This is an incredible ornamental shade tree and lives for as long as two hundred years. This tree will group up to 24 inches every year until it reaches roughly thirty feet in height with a spread of twenty feet. Sourwood Tree Seedlings require little care and prefer moist and well-drained soil. The leaves have an elliptical shape and during the summer are a lush and deep green.

This tree is highly prized and creamy white, bell-shaped flowers bloom every summer. The blossoms grow in lovely cluster four to ten inches long. This is followed by fruit with an oblong shape. The fruit is not edible but the colors are beautiful. Bees adore this tree due to the extra sweetness of the honey produced and will flutter sweetly in the foliage.
