Tulip Poplar Live Stakes is a tree with an orange and yellow flower that blooms around May to June. Tulip Poplar Hardy planting zones are 4 through 9. This tree can grow up to 90 feet high and 50 feet wide. This tree can be used in any landscape and makes an excellent shade tree; and is best when moist but well-drained in loose textured soil. Tulip Poplar is also known as Liriodendron tulipfera. Hardy in planting zones 4-9. The growth rate at maturity can reach 60-90 feet and 30-50 feet wide. Tulip Poplar will have an orange ring around the base of a yellow bloom that will flower from May to June. This low-maintenance tree will have a showy bloom and good color in fall.

Plant in fertile, organic, moist soil; however, it will be tolerated in part shade. Makes a great shade tree and can help cut down on cooling costs by shading the late afternoon sun. This tree can have trunks that measure 4-6′ around and will not usually grow lower branches. It usually flowers after the leaves are on the tree, so they can sometimes go unnoticed. It will be some yellow color in the fall and be beautiful. The wood from this tree can be used to make plywood, boats, and paper. When planting, dig a hole at least twice as wide as it's rooted. Make sure to space at least 15-20 feet. The leaves on the Tulip Poplar are similar to tulip flowers. These beautiful yellow flowers will surely add sunshine to your yard with their bright color. They increase and grow to over 100 feet tall, making them the tallest tree in the eastern United States. They are easy to take care of and thrive in many different soil types.

Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.
