Bamboo Plants - Arundinaria Gigantea
Arundinaria Gigantea is a grass native to many parts of the world, including America, Africa, and Asia. It is a tall, slim, and lovely bright green plant with many uses. It grows very well, and with almost no effort after planting, in USDA growing zones 4 though 9. It prefers full sunshine; however, it will adapt to partial shade.
Bamboo is a highly adaptable plant that will grow in almost any condition. Although tall, this plant is a grass species. It cares little about soil quality and is heat-tolerant, cold-tolerant, and drought-tolerant. It will adjust to almost any climate.
Arundinaria Gigantea earned its common name from the Malay word "mamba," which describes a cane or reed.
Bamboo Is Tall, Tropical-Looking, and Will Soar to Its Mature Height Quickly
Bamboo plants typically grow to be tall and slender, with long, narrow leaves and distinctive culms or stem with a thick and woody texture. The color of bamboo varies, with some having bright green leaves and others have more muted or yellowish green leaves. Bamboo plants also have distinctive jointed stems.
Many value Bamboo for its fast growth, with some species reaching up to 25’ high in just a few years. This fast growth rate makes bamboo an excellent choice for creating privacy screens, windbreaks, and other tropics-inspired landscaping features.
Bamboo Can Eliminate Soil Compaction and Minimize Harmful Erosion
Arundinaria Gigantea is a fast-growing grass species that will adjust to some of the most challenging growing conditions without additional care. It gets tall and spreads quickly. As it spreads, it breaks up the earth from below, eliminating compacted soils. As a result of the loosened soil, water seeps into the ground instead of running off, eliminating eroded soil.
